How do you keep the data up-to-date and accurate, and ensure that most of the industry players are in there?
We use a number of machine learning and data enriching tools (including the Integration of a number of external sources - see here) to keep our database up-to-date, verify and add new layers of information for each player. In addition, we allow entrepreneurs to submit their companies to be featured on The Global FoodTech Map. After reviewing every application and approving only relevant companies that fit with The Global FoodTech Map’s taxonomy, we then add them to The FoodTech Data Navigator's database twice a year. Moreover, our team attends all major Food & FoodTech-related conferences & events all over Europe, constantly scouting for the most innovative companies to add to our proprietary databases, as well as we keep on building data partnerships with leading organisations working in AgriFoodTech across the globe.
Some regions (ex: Asia) have very little data at the moment - How are you planning to bridge that gap?
We are constantly building regional partnerships with local players and pulling new data from our proprietary databases as they become available.
How often is the data updated?
The data is automatically cleaned and updated through web crawlers & data enrichers on a daily basis.
To what extent can I personalize my portfolio to make it relevant to my needs?
You can use the all the standard filters available such as geography, category, maturity, etc to create your own portfolios. You can also create custom filters. A further feature is that portfolio owners can choose to share their portfolios with external users. Once published, portfolio members can:1.Contribute: They are allowed to edit the companies inside a portfolio, analyse them on different dashboards and benchmark them with other portfolio’s (that they have access to).2.Explore: they are not allowed to edit the information on the profiles, but can analyse them and benchmark them.3.Benchmark: users are only allowed to compare general benchmarking graphs with each other.
Can we integrate new APIs or leverage the platform via API?

What is the main USP of the Data Navigator compared to similar solutions (DealRoom, Pitchbook, etc…)?
